As a Content Developer, Web Application Developer and Marketing company, with all the news and talk about A.I., I’ve become very interested in A.I. Generated content and found that it works really well with FOOD items. I noticed that the A.I. is capable of generating with the right questions posed to the A.I., historical information, extremely accurate data or information on any subject, and its writing skills is sadly much, much better than mine. So when putting all these powerful A.I. skills together, you have a marketing writer of extraordinary value that can deliver you content, even our mothers would be proud of.

So as a seasoned Web developer, I couldn’t pass up this opportunity to dive into the Food industry specifically Restaurant shopping carts for (Take Out Food). So I decided to create this sample shopping cart for a restaurant client in Scottsdale, for their shopping cart, all the product descriptions are A.I. Generated. You can see the A.I. Now go to an individual MENU/Product item in the shopping cart then see the description box under each Main photo. That content was all written by the A.I., it’s truly amazing since most restaurant owners will never have the time or ability to beat this A.I. in writing these FOOD descriptions. And from an SEO stand point everything pulled and then delivered by the A.I. was 100% relevant content. Since I handle a lot of Law Firm Marketing this would enable so much SEO and relevant content in the Law Industry it’s literally a gold mine opportunity for Lawyers building new Web sites.

So why is this content so important? If it’s well written you have customer retention, you have built in SEO (search engine optimization) and the bigger your relevant content is the more valuable your Web site becomes to all the search engines. By having this excellent content, it completes the full cycle of product information and delivers attention grabbing cool relevant content that helps in the process of UP-SELLING to a captivating buying audience.

Now getting back to the restaurant industry, if a restaurant tried to write content for 150 menu items and let’s they even have 5 really smart brothers running their six restaurants, they would have to spend 150 hours at the minimum to write these product descriptions so about 30 hours for each brother. On the other hand I was able to capture the A.I. content for 68 products as of this writing, and it took about 3-4 hours to gather the data and then place it into each product description field. So if we do the math, the A.I. was 96% faster than a human and also 100% accurate in delivering valid relevant and interesting historical content for these Menu items. Honestly, I was blown away when I read each description. So powerful, relevant, and accurate detailed information I can only say these are the BEST Benefits I’ve seen so far about A.I. This article is for professional Graphic Designer and Art Directors looking to get perfect color off the new digital presses that have taken the print industry by storm. Below you’ll learn about the 5 Steps to Perfect Color Printing in an Out of Control Automated Print industry!

 

The days of four color separation are gone, the days of color control have been forgotten, and the days of press checks are now being delivered as PDF files via email from the printers. The old adage of garbage in, equals, garbage out, has proven it’s self through the out of control color automated printing industry. It’s like buying a self driving car, you no longer get any controls, unless you take the following steps below.

 

Have you noticed that your local quick printers at FedEx-Kinko’s, or the 4 color printers nationwide are clueless about what an ICC profile is. Asking for a simple custom ICC profile is like pulling teeth. Nobody seems to even know what an ICC profile is and what it’s capable of doing. First off (ICC) stands for International Color Consortium for those not totally familiar with the acronym. Here’s their web site: http://www.color.org The Web site has a lot of information about ICC profiles and even delivers a few for download. The organization seems to be run by retired people since they never respond by email even after contacting all directors several times. So don’t rely too much on them for any support.



What is an ICC profile? In a nut shell it’s calculation of the DNA output of a 4 color press when printing color patches, and in our case 1600 color swatches, scanning them to evaluate the capabilities of an individual press output. The color swatch file is a CMYK file that has a color space values that can be measured using a spectrophotometer as Colormetric data and can be measured in any of the following values: CIE Lab, CIE Lch, CIE XYZ and LAB x,y,Y. When a measurement or color swatch scan is done on a 1600 color swatch we are comparing what the true color of our originating CMYK file is to the target printers output of these color swatches. Since the arrival of new digital printers todays printers no longer maintain their digital presses, only when a printer manufacturer’s service rep drops by the print shop once every 1-2 months to check the machines, are they serviced, unless there is a breakdown. So that’s really why printers no longer know what an ICC profile is, since the presses are no longer in their control.



Here’s the ICC COLOR Formula.




1) Print a 4 color CMYK 1600 swatch color file on any 4 color press as shown above. (The sample above has been converted to RGB for Web display only)



2) Scanning the 1600 colors with a spectrophotometer to capture the printers output capability. If you don’t have an X-Rite spectrophotometer you can use this service to get your custom ICC Profile made for you in 24 hrs. http://admediaauthority.com/shop/iccprofiles/ get-your-custom-icc-profile-for-any-cmyk-printing-press/ Calculate via the software provided by X-Rite the conversion of RGB to the CMYK original color target to the Press CMYK capability. This will take into account the short falls or the lack of color a press may be producing and give us an ICC profile that compensates for the short comings of any press. The X-Rite software will produce an ICC profile from the color swatches scans. Place the ICC profile in your library>ColorSync>Profiles folder which will allow your digital imaging apps like Photoshop, InDesign, Quark, and other apps to access your new ICC Profile.



3) All digital images start as RGB files and have millions of colors, however, when outputting to a printing press in CMYK, the color space is reduced due to their inferior color inks which can only print thousands of colors, and when CMY are mixed at 100% these ink colors cannot produce a solid Black color, so K is added for the Black channel giving us CMYK. K is a compensator for CMYK printing which RGB does not need on a monitor as it certainly can produce black from just 3 colors.



4) How to use ICC Profiles on an RGB file. The best method is when using Photoshop and you want to do color corrections, saturation adjustments, color cast removals and sharpening images. All these adjustments are done in RGB. Go to color settings and a dialog window will appear where under the CMYK drop down you’ll see pre set ICC profiles for many generic output devices, find your custom ICC profile and select it. The image below shows a Kinko’s Canon C700 #2 printer. The reason for #2 is that the Kinko’s we used has 2 Canon C700’s so we labeled them #1 and #2. In fact it was a good idea to have both Canon digital press profiled since a week later the Canon C700 #1 digital press was out for repairs.







 

 





5) After selecting the ICC Profile in Photoshop and clicking OK, you’ve set the method of calculating RGB to CMYK in Photoshop. So now with your RGB image loaded select image>MODE>CMYK to convert your RGB file to CMYK. Once you’ve converted the RGB file to CMYK save it and label the file CMYK so you know this is the file you will send to the printer. Whether you save it as a JPEG or Tiff file makes no difference.







 





So why does a Graphic Designer or Art Director want to go through this color conversion process?



The answer is two fold, having a final CMYK file with the printers output DNA on your monitor, shows that you are WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get). If that’s the case and there is a color shift in skin tones to too much red, or cyan or yellow you can now adjust them with your curve tools to remove those unwanted bad colors knowing that the color corrections you now do is what the printer will print. See samples of bad printing in newspaper ads costing $7000 per ad. Can you really afford to pay for bad color?







Also be aware that if your monitor is not color calibrated the monitor will not show you true WYSIWYG colors. So it’s best to use the eye dropper tool in Photoshop and do a skin color or a logo swatch color reading so you now can see the CMYK values for each ink. If you have a logo that needs color matching and are not on a 5 color spot color press, then you can easily check your color of the logo using the eyedropper tool. This way you can see if your color is a match from your Pantone color guide, which also shows CMYK values. You can isolate the logo on it’s own layer in Photoshop and adjust your color CMYK curves to get a close color match to your Pantone value you want.







 





 





Taking these 5 Steps to control your color printing makes you a Master Color printer in the Digital Print Industry. Very few people actually know or care about this information, even printers I’ve met have stated they no longer offer accurate color, just PLEASING color, whatever that really means. It’s really a crap shoot for these beauty school drop outs!

Other Advanced Color Press Printing TIPS:




Prior to digital presses CMYK JPEG and CMYK TIFF files were normally accepted by four color printers. Today, however, with the advent of digital presses you’ll see that print shops only accept PDF docs and this is where more issues and degradation of color will occur with your CMYK JPEG files. Here’s their process and you may even be doing this mistake too. The printers have to convert all your CMYK JPEG files to PDF files and their process is NOT done in Photoshop, rather they will gang all your artwork and images both the front and back of your color brochure using InDesign. The printers will place your CMYK JPEG files in an InDesign layout then they will Export your High resolution files without reading the selection process as I’ve experienced direct from the printers. Instead of a press check, press checks are done via emailed PDF docs

from the printer and you are asked to sign-off on this color and this resolution. Now keep in mind when you start with an RGB file and let’s say it’s a small postcard front and back full color these two RGB files are each about 2 megabytes in size and after converting them to CMYK with the extra K channel your file sizes increase to 6 to 7 megabytes each. You’ve got these nice beefy CMYK files that have been converted to the DNA of your output press you want to maintain the high resolution, color accuracy and sharpness of your fonts so you can achieve perfect color printing.

But when the printer sends you your digital PDF proof with both front and back sides of your postcards in one file and now you look at the file size and expecting to see at least 14 megabytes they delivered 1.8 megabytes, you have to ask WTF did they do to your High Res CMYK files. They are no longer sharp and crisp, the color is so, you have to ask did they optimize for Fast Web, did they compress all the JPEG files at medium or worst, did they also screw with the color conversion to convert to destination? OH my, how many mistakes did they do? All you know is your files have been tampered with and they obviously sent you a garbage proof which is 1/7 the size of your original file sizes. Don’t expect any good results from these files. See the bad downsampling settings below that will ruin your high resolution CMYK files.

 





If they had set the InDesign Export to PDF correctly they would have to send you a 20 megabyte file which maintained all your Expert Color work. In order to avoid these beauty school drop outs from tampering with your files you’ll need to do the conversions yourself with InDesign, so you can deliver the required PDF files they only know how to work with today. You’ll need to have the correct settings when using the Export within InDesign to PDF setting.

The setting should be as follows:




• Color Images = Do Not Downsample
• Compression = None for all three settings, Color, Grayscale & Monchrome Images
• For Output: Color Conversion = No Color Conversion
• For Profile Inclusion Policy = Include All RGB and Tagged Source CMYK Profiles

Below are the correct settings to maintain the ICC Profile and high resolution CMYK files.





 





This is critical as this is your printer DNA….ICC Profile you’ve worked so hard to get. So don’t let it slip away at the PDF Sign-Off stage!

One last word on ICC Profiles is they have an expiration date on them, so When do they expire? Whenever you change your color ink batches or the type of paper you will be printing on. Also ICC profiles can not be interchanged between two presses even if they are two of the same brand printing presses, every press needs it’s own ICC profile. All presses improve their output with a current ICC Profile.

In the event you don’t know Mr. DZahr’s background, it’s listed in the footer of this article. Whenever I review a new client’s web site, the first things I do (forget the hype and get the facts) is to check the visibility of the Law Firm and the value of their visibility.

Most of my clients don’t know this secret tool–it’s been a developers’ tool for ages, but the common business web site owner is unaware of the value of this profound information. Knowing this information gives us a road map of what is missing and what improvements can be done organically within just a few weeks. We all understand what a phone book is: thousands of pages and millions of listings, but your business is listed only one time. So if a potential client is looking for an attorney, the likelihood of finding your Law Firm is all based on chance or perhaps seeing a ½  or full page ad in the yellow pages. Even so, it’s very difficult to stand out in the yellow pages and very expensive in order to get your law firm a phone call from a potential client.

 

So now let’s go to the internet. The search engines are really like the yellow pages, but online, and people who don’t know your firm will begin by looking up a keyword phrase, such as perhaps injury attorney, criminal attorney, or family law, etc. The reason for the keyword search is a potential client may not know of an attorney, so they are searching using a targeted keyword phrase, even though these are still fairly broad search terms. The next step in a search would be GEO targeted searches, as an example: Scottsdale injury attorney, Scottsdale criminal attorney, or Scottsdale family law. These would be the better targeted searches.

That said, let’s get to the secret tool that is 100% FREE to everyone and can be used to see your Web site results and your competitions results. What we are looking for is to know how many listings does your Law Firm have in Google or any of the other search engines and if the listings are keyword driven. If you could do the same thing in the Yellow pages of the phone book, imagine being listed on every page of the Law Firm section of the yellow pages, and then when someone searches the yellow pages, the likelihood of finding your firm is very high. We can do this exact same strategy online with the search engines. So let’s check right now to see how your firm stands with the number of listings in Google and you can even check your competition doing the same thing.

Type the following in the search FIELD of Google with your own domain name. I’m showing a LIVE example of how Google will show only your Web site results or the competition’s. So click on the live link below, then change the lawinfo.com domain to your own, then hit “enter” to see your own Web site listing results.

site:lawinfo.com  This Web site is actually a Law directory showing thousands of attorneys’ paid listings and shows over 1.75 million pages of content in the Google search results. The Web site gets millions of visitors per month and generates income from many online services as well as providing lead packages for attorneys. An individual attorney or even a large law firm would be hard pressed to compete with this giant. However, your goal is to compete with all the other attorneys that are competing with your niche law practice in your area.

Here are 3 sample Scottsdale and Chandler Attorney Web sites, who are not my clients. It’s evident their web sites have a low number of listings in Google. I have hidden the law firm URLs for privacy reasons, so you can see the number of their listings in Google. These were  Attorney web sites I pulled randomly for the term criminal law.

 

In the third Law Firm search above that has just 1 listing, you’re probably thinking like me, it’s got to be a brand new law firm since the Lawyer has just one listing in Google. So I did a quick search for the date of creation, and below is a screen grab showing the Web site to be 1 year and four months old as of today. Well yes, the site belongs to a fairly new attorney, however, he’s been online for a long time and only has one listing, guaranteeing he literally has no internet business from online searches.

 

 

 

You can find out how long your Web site or your competition has been online by checking the domain name lookup data. Here’s a link: you can copy and paste your domain by replacing DomainName.com with your own domain name at the end of the URL link to find this same info. Paste this link in the browser URL field, not in a Google search field.

OK, so we have just checked the visibility of a Law Web site, now we need to check for the value of the visibility. What’s the value? It’s based on the keywords that a Web site produces for the search engines and it can be seen in the general listings of a search engine. A quick search for Scottsdale criminal attorney shows results below. The 1st listing is from avvo.com–another Law directory with 2.5 million resulting listings in Google and then the Web sites with the keyword phrase Scottsdale criminal attorney. The keyword phrase is part of the Web site title. This is the first step to getting listed for a keyword phrase in all the search engines. So is this the answer (well not completely) when doing more research with Googles own  KeywordPlanner . If you know how to data mine you can begin to create your own database of valuable keyword phrases to target market on your Web site.

 

 

Below is Google’s own data I researched which needs to be data mined and then imported into my own proprietary database, which I created in FilemakerPro. The keyword data has been parsed, cleaned of duplicates, and shows daily searches of a keyword phrase as well as any data available to the cost or value of a keyword phrase that is used in your Google AdWord campaign. Also notice the value or cost of several keyword phrases in the $30 to $55 range per click. In some instances keywords can be VERY Expensive as seen here , ranging from $200 to $425 per CLICK, most of which are in the Law Industry. So getting RANKED for any one of these Expensive Keyword phrases can save you a TON of Advertising dollars. These are keyword phrases other attorneys are competing for in the PPC arena. You’ll also notice that Google found 277 other keyword phrases matching, relevant, or similarly searched to the original phrase Scottsdale criminal attorney which provides 216 searches per day. Having all these keywords listed in Google gives you a broader target market and will get you more visitors to your Web site’s niche practice.

 

So if your Web site could harness all 277 keyword phrases instead of just the one, you would have an additional 276 page listed in Google. In fact, if you developed your Web site with WordPress, you have the ability to use the CMS (content management system) to generate dynamic pages with your keyword phrases, thereby populating the search engines with additional content. In order to put WordPress on super steroids, you’ll need your own server, as the server needs the horsepower to deliver the data optimally not found on a shared $15 per month hosting service. Now with this knowledge, instead of having an Attorney Web site with just 29 pages to a few hundred pages, you can have 5,000 to 10,000 pages listed in Google, based on each Law practice and expanding your reach through the search data Google offers for FREE.

WORDPRESS is the modern-day approach to using a CMS (content management system), which can deliver dynamic pages via its advanced CMS delivery system. WordPress is considered the #1 used CMS system in the world today, and for good reasons! Just see the major companies around the world, see links below that have adopted to WORDPRESS. This enables for better SEO in the hands of a WordPress and marketing professional. This is critical since most business owners claim they know their own product and service better than anyone else, even a marketing expert. However, it’s far from the truth when working with an experienced researcher and keyword analysis expert. Even many Web Designers are unfamiliar with the power of the CMS system the WordPress offers. It’s like a Master Sushi chef with a set of knives costing $10,000. Just having those knives does not make you the Master Sushi chef. You need to have years of proper training and experience as the tools are just tools. In our industry, SEO is a fine-tuned craft. It requires dedicated research of top keyword phrases being searched online for the Law Industry, knowing the number of searches per day and the cost or value of a keyword phrase, if you were to use them in a GOOGLE AdWords campaign. If you already have a WordPress Web site with just a few pages listed in Google like some of the above examples, it can be put on super steroids and get the listings you need to cover the entire Google recommended keyword search spectrum. If your Web site is not a WordPress site, I recommend a second Web site so you can see the difference in performance to your other site and you can achieve 10 to 20 times the organic listings for your new Web site. As an idea of numbers, you already need to have some content to get the super steroids working. If you don’t have the content, it needs to be developed, and then you can start competing properly. A few hours ago WordPress abruptly released 4.7.5 which is a security release. It fixes six vulnerabilities which are detailed on the WordPress.org blog.

Many business owners are not aware of the constant attacks being launched at their Web sites from unknown hackers from around the world. You’d even be amazed that a large majority of hacker attacks come from the USA. You may have read the recent NSA admitting to hacking computers through back doors here.

Below are a several Hacker reports supplied by a great plugin for WordPress namely WordFence. I highly recommend you install this plugin even the free version will give you Web site some protection. However, if you’ve already been hacked and infected with a relay email blasting capabilities to spam people using your domain this will be a serious threat to your business. The hacking offender send emails from your server, and get away with it for 1-2 weeks until your emails get blocked by organizations like spamhaus putting your domain on a blocklist, as well as Google, Hotmail, Yahoo and AOL doing the same. The scams and modus operandi are numerous including creating fake landing pages with redirects from your site to the fake site in order to fool people that they need to update their bank account passwords as shown below a Fake Bank Web site.

When you receive emails from major sources like your Banks, credit cards and credit reporting agencies, I recommend you always check the senders email address, (not the name of the email address displayed) but the actual email address, if it’s not from your normal source, then it’s been faked and is a scam to get you to give up your credentials. Be sure to always check the emails senders address especially when using your smart phone as this is where 60% of users read their emails.

Better to be safe then sorry use WordFence for International security of your business Web site.
